I called it a half-break because, realistically, I’ve still been working on things while taking this break. While I decided to take a few days to relax and play some video games — ranging from Stardew Valley to House Flipper 2 to Palworld — after the release of Demon Trials, that hasn’t stopped me from working on future projects.

I teased the fact that I’ve been working on something behind the scenes and it’s time to give more information. The first book in a new series titled The Spiritualist Saga is undergoing final edits and as of last week, an audiobook narrator has been chosen! This new series is a more traditional fantasy (romance) featuring forbidden magic, slight enemies-to-lovers, political intrigue, and self-discovery.

“Thank you.” A deep male voice filtered in through the door, followed by the sound of soft footfalls. I caught a glimpse of the noble as he entered the room before invisible hands wrapped around my throat. An overwhelming aura washed over me. I bit back a gasp.

What… is that energy?

A foreign energy engulfed me, suffocated me. I took a deep breath, letting it spread through me, and exhaled slowly. Repeat. My muscles unclenched, that overwhelming aura releasing its hold on me, allowing me to relax.

I focused on the noble.

Standing taller than me by a few inches, he exuded the confidence of the upper class. The slightest hint of a smirk curled his lips, matching the arrogance I expected from most nobility. Loose black slacks with a long-sleeved white button-up shirt adorned his figure, while a pale purple clock fell to just below his waist, the only color in the ensemble aside from his eyes — a vibrant dark blue. His hair rivaled his shirt; straight, pale blond, nearly white, locks fell passed his shoulders.

Who could this mysterious noble be? You’ll have to wait to find out! But don’t worry — the wait won’t be too long. Expect book one of this series — Silent Spirit — to hit the digital shelves either this June or July. The exact date will be announced soon!
