Happy Sunday, everyone!
Apologies for the unexpected break from blogging; lots of things in life going on, so I had to take some time to focus on other things. But fear not, for I am back!
Today’s post will just be a brief one to announce what I’ve been considering lately — namely, whether I should continue to pursue traditional publishing or shift my focus towards self-publishing instead.
Options have been weighed and I believe for now, it’s time to take things into my own hands. I’m going to take my book Demon Whispers, first of a series, and self-publish it while I continue to work on its sequel, which will then also be self-published. I have a second series in which I’m focusing on finalizing the editing for the first book. I’ll likely pursue the same route with it in the near future as well.
My goal will be to publish roughly two books per year. Obviously, we’ll see how feasible that ends up being as time goes on, but for now, that’s the plan!
So, as I dive into the world of cover-making, I leave you with this: Should all go well, expect Demon Whispers in Kindle and Paperback format in the coming months, likely end of May or in June. Final release date TBD!
As an apology for the blog silence, and to share what I’ve been working on, enjoy this snippet from Demon Whispers.

“Gentleman, we’re in luck. Our men have captured a demon and are bringing him in. We can test this right now.”
I froze.
“Perfect, though I don’t intend to sit here for nine hours,” one of the visitors said with a half-joking smile.
“It shouldn’t take that long. They were able to subdue him with less than what we used for the other. He should be a perfect example for you.”
“Excellent.”
Their conversation continued even as a cold wave of dread washed over me. My instincts screamed at me to get out, that something would go terribly wrong. I didn’t want to be here when their arrogance led to mistakes. Their flippant attitude would prove their undoing — if not tonight, then some other day.
Rule number one when dealing with demons: Don’t be overconfident.
