Let it never be said that I don’t do research and make decisions quickly.

With just a week gone by since my ponderings about audiobooks, I’m now in the early stages of audiobook creation for Demon Whispers.

Using ACX.com, I sent out the call for narrators on Saturday and have already received 14 auditions. Three of these have stood out above the rest so far. I’ll be accepting auditions for a few more days at least, but then I’ll have the difficult task of making a final decision. Through this service, the audiobook will be available on Amazon, Audible, and iTunes.

If all goes well, I’m hoping to release the audiobook this Spring, with the intention of releasing the audiobook for book #2 when the paperback and eBook are published. From there, all versions should be releasing in the same timeframe.

It has been fun listening to the auditions and hearing how different people choose to voice the characters. I’m having a lot of fun with this process.

Once we’re a bit further along, I will likely share an audio snippet or two before publication. For now, though, I have tough choices to make!
