Book #2 – Halfway through + Snippet

Hello, hello!

It has been a while since I’ve given any updates on book 2 of The Survival Chronicles, so I figured it was about time. The word count is sitting at about half what it needs to be and I have plans for the rest of the book ironed out. If all goes well, the first draft should be done within the next month.

From there, it’ll be time to edit, get beta feedback, and edit some more, and then begin the process of getting the audiobook produced and the cover designed. With all of that still coming, I’m estimating a late October or November release for this book.

Once I’m further in this process, I’ll be able to give a more exact date. For now, though, here’s a short snippet from the book to tide you over!

My gaze shifted to [REDACTED], even as I followed Rowan in approaching his parents. They looked unharmed. I resisted the urge to let out a relieved sigh. If all went well, I could talk to them soon. I hoped I wasn’t wrong in trusting Rowan when he claimed everything would be alright. One wrong move here and I would die. I’d take our as many of them as I could during that process, but I would inevitably die. Fighting off in excess of 200 demons was not in my list of achievements. Should any of them have trained as a team in combat, death would come even swifter.

“Mother, Father,” Rowan ducked his head in a polite gesture. “It’s been too long.”

The murmurings of the crowd stilled, leaving only an eerie silence considering the mass of people in the chamber.

Their attention shifted momentarily to me. The man nodded in kind, black hair dipping just enough to cover his eyes. The same azure gaze so familiar to me slid to me and yet it granted me none of the same feelings I had when Rowan looked at me. This expression was colder, framed by an older face, appearing perhaps in his thirties judging from the slight wrinkles that began to form. A black three-piece suit, perfectly fitted, covered his body. One look at him and I knew he could kill me if he wanted.

Rowan’s mother, a tough younger in appearance than her husband, assuming demons even partook in the human concept of marriage, flashed her son a small smile. “Welcome home. I see you brought a guest.”

That’s all for now. Have a great rest of the week!

Note: Amazon has the paperback on sale for almost 50% off again, so now is your best chance to snag a copy if you’ve been waiting! It’s also available on Kindle and Audible.
